Elena Hamasyan - Art Photographer
AS A FORTUNE. Everyday Take a lantern Keep it bright As the light source Of your mind- Again and again, Take the inexhaustible fire As the hopeful cord Of your heart.
An alumnus of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, 2011. After my graduation I went back to the city where I was born - Yerevan, Armenia, there I could see mount Ararat every day, go hiking and open for myself a new world of mountains and ancient art of Pictograms. In Yerevan I've graduated a Pantomime Studio in Yerevan State Pantomime Theatre in 2014.
I've been shooting with film last 8 years. Through the camera I started to change my perception of Physics as a science to a poetry. Everything that surrounds us is a Poetry, we just should learn the way how to find it. As far as the key is found - the world opens in another dimension.
After Armenia I moved to live in LA, USA. I studied
photography at SMC, LA, graduated the course of the manual film development and print in the "The School of Light" in 2017 in LA and the course of the alternative print methods in Armenia(cyanotyping, resinotyping), 2017. I've finished a course of Contemporary Art in HSE, 2018. I'm always mixing my knowledge in Physics, Art and Movement and try to find new perception of understanding the things that are usual for us and look at them from another angle.
